Head Coach - Roland Lipki
Coaching Experience: Roland has been coaching since 1986, and was a founding member of the Club. Since 1992, he has held the position of Head Coach.
Role as a Head Coach: Roland is ultimately responsible for the hiring of all coaching staff for the Club. Roland’s main focus is the Level II and III competitive divers, preparing them for meets, and identifying those divers ready to move up to a higher competitive level. He has been instrumental in seeing the K|W Diving Club win the Trophy for Highest Points in their division, at the last three Tier II Provincials. Many of his Level II divers have attained Gold Medals at the Level II Provincials, thus securing their right to move to Level I. He also oversees the Recreational and Learn to Dive programs, and works with the Learn to Dive instructors to further develop their teaching skills. Roland works closely with the Executive Committee on all issues relating to the welfare and future development of the Club.
Characteristics: His passion for the sport, along with his genuine concern for every diver in the club, regardless of their level, is a personal quality that sets him apart. Roland’s goal is to identify the potential talent pool for the Club’s competitive level, to ensure the Club maintains a progressive focus
