This year’s competition season, for our Tier II division, began with the Snowball in Scarborough. The meet boosted 85 registered divers and the competition for top placing was fierce.
K|W diving club, was strong in all categories, and took home medal after medal after medal!!!
Our results were as follows:
For the 16 and older age group Ben K. edged out Bradley N. for first place one the one meter, with Bradley coming in a close second. Khoral H. dove one meter, garnering the bronze medal in the women’s division.
In the next division – age 14 and 15 - we sent divers in both the Level II and Level III category.
In Level II, our three divers were Brent M., Brawn M. and Brayden H. They were first, second and third respectfully on the 1 meter. On the three meter, Brawn took gold, Brayden took silver, and Brayden came home with the bronze.
Our Level III divers in this age category were Michael H. and Lukas HW. With only 6 points separating them, Michael came home with the gold and Lukas took the bronze. Our lone diver in the women’s division was Lori S. This was her first meet ever, and she dove well taking home the bronze medal.
Our 12 and 13 year olds were extremely successful at the Snowball.
Our level II divers were Paul H. and Alten W. Paul placed first, and Alten, at his first competition ever, took second! Mohamed M. competed as a Level I diver, taking the gold, far ahead of his competition.
On the three meter – Mohamed and Paul met up as competitors in Level II, and Paul took silver and Mohamed took bronze.
Our youngest divers are the 11 and under category.
Aniko VW. And Raine M. competed in Level II, with Aniko coming in second and Raine a close third. Aniko competed on the three meter in Level II, taking the silver. Raine competed Level I, taking the bronze. Both divers had amazing results, with high scores on all dives.
Our D level boy divers were Jacob D., Alex T. and Ali M.
Jacob and Alex met in the Level II division, with Jacob taking gold on the one meter and Alex placing 4th on both the 1 meter and the 3 meter. This was Alex first competition, and he is well on his way to bigger and better things at the next meet.
