Divers, who have satisfied the requirement of the Learn-to-Dive program, are ready to move up to a more challenging level. Our recreational level (also know as our Novice level), is designed to introduce the diver to the more difficult aspects of diving. This level is both a fun level for those who may not be ready to compete, and it is a teaching level for those who are ready to progress. A recreational diver will dive once a week, with optional dryland training, and have the chance to attend competitions throughout the year. Novice National divers generally dive more, and are expected to attend dryland.
This level is only available to a diver who has completed the requirements of the Learn To Dive program and have been assessed by one of our head coaches. Participants may also enter our program at this level, after having been assessed, if they have a background in competitive gymnastics.
