The first meet of the year for our Novice team was a rip roaring success, especially considering that nine of the sixteen divers who competed in Scarborough this year were attending their very first meet. And not only did these first timers bring home medals and ribbons, but our veteran divers also excelled in each of their events.
Brayden, Alten, James and Kiern all moved up into a higher age category this year but still brought home a bevy of medals. Melanie and Justine, who remained in their age categories, each scored personal bests on both boards. B Diver, Karen, also added 3m to her list this year and was awarded 4th place.
Megan, who only began diving this year, took gold on both boards, an outstanding achievement for a B diver. First time C divers, Jayde, Austin and Cole rocked the boards and came home with some impressive achievements. Not to be outdone, the new Ds – Hannah, Emily, Kevin, Isaac and Spencer – also showed that they are strong competitors in an equally strong age division.
